Filters in uBlock Origin
An application not only blocks advertisements but can also read and create filters from host files. In its standard package, these include filters which will immediately become active:
- malicious domains.
- EasyList.
- EasyPrivacy.
- list of ad servers Peter Lowe.
Available filters on uBlock Origin for additional customization are:
- Spam 404.
- MVPS HOSTS.
- hpHosts server.
- Dan Pollock’s host file.
- fan tracking list.
- other.
uBlock Origin for Google Chrome software reminding ourselves to remember that as more filters are activated, more resources will be necessary for proper operation of a program; yet what’s remarkable about uBlock is after activating three additional filters, it still uses less resources than similar apps compared to similar lists created from host files or list generators.

Install uBlock Origin
Install the extension using Google Chrome’s standard mode installation procedure, and after completion it will appear as an application icon in the upper-right corner of your taskbar browser. Left mouse button clicking allows you to see how many ads have been blocked while right-clicking opens up its Settings Menu where you can manage filters installed, create blacklist sites where ads won’t be blocked, as well as customize other options and view installed filters lists.
