WorldWide Telescope is an advanced computer program that makes a virtual telescope from any personal computer, drawing upon data obtained by major observatories and space telescopes to offer all known knowledge regarding Earth, solar system objects and various space bodies.
By installing WorldWide Telescope download for pc, a user is given an opportunity to familiarise himself/herself with images obtained at various wavelengths – X-ray, infrared, ultraviolet and visible images can all be examined by users simultaneously. Furthermore, you can monitor space objects at regular time intervals, zoom in/out as needed or perform various actions related to them.
WorldWide Telescope supports various modes for use.
- Sky – allows users to explore the vastness and wonder of space through virtual telescope.
- Earth – offers users an opportunity to view 3D models of our planet;
- Planets – present 3D models of certain planets and satellites in space;
- Panoramas provide users with high-resolution images from our solar system taken using self-propelled automatic devices;
- Users can explore and enjoy high-quality panoramics depicting objects of this solar system that allow a complete perspective by showing each component individually or collectively;
- all proportions remain preserved while viewing these panoramas.
- This program allows the simulation of cosmic phenomena both current and historical in origin.
The program interface can be seen in multiple languages, including Russian.
To activate Russian in WorldWide Telescope, navigate to the Settings menu (by clicking on the small arrow), click “Select Your Language,” and choose Russian from the drop-down list. Finally, close and relaunch WorldWide Telescope for effect.
