Silverlight is an innovative platform developed by Microsoft that lets users run various graphic elements to build interactive web apps based on Microsoft.Net. As an alternative to Flash Player, which it replaces directly, Silverlight was specifically tailored for different browsers – and we offer its free download!

Microsoft Update Center and our website both offer access to Silverlight’s most up-to-date version; if you already possess an earlier version, upgrading will also be offered as an option.

Self-update of Silverlight modules created in earlier versions is disabled by default and compatible with Web applications created using those.
Silverlight can run on Windows XP, 2000, Vista and 7 computers and has been approved under its Freeware license. It measures around 6MB when installing.
