Professional graphics editor for engineers
GCAD3D for Windows features an OpenGL visualizer and NC command interpreter to convert three-dimensional geometry, as well as using GTK + interface elements that allows extended the basic functionality via third-party plug-ins or extensions.
Supports import/export for VRML-, SVG, STEP, DXF and IGES files. Comes equipped with an inbuilt “geometry translator”, allowing for conversions with one click “in one go”, as well as NC commands integration for polygon mesh conversion. Can also sync up with Mesa Glibc 2.3.3 + GTK + 2 libraries.
GCAD3D functionality
- Import geometry from VRML-, SVG-, STEP-STEP.DXF-and IGES files to visualize three dimensional models stored within them using 3D OpenGL visualization;
- modificate bill locations according to user edits while simultaneously editing models according to 3D OpenGL visualization;
- Converts polygon “geometric grid” using NC-processor in an easily customizable manner;
- incadr interpreted entered NC commands and made appropriate edits to 3D model;
- incadr It syncronizes with Mesa, Glibc 2.3.3 and GTK + 2 libraries and visualizes interface changes via “task window.”
- It provides access to third-party plug-ins and programs from third parties;
- interprets them using an NC processor;
- visualizes interface changes using GTK + library;
- exports results into specified format for exporting;
Features of CAD
- Support for third-party extensions, both custom and from third parties;
- Incorporation of polygonal sweep into “one click” conversion process;
- Utilisation of an NC processor integrated within;
- Full support of 3D-OpenGL technology with its own visualizer;
- Customizable functionality that may be expanded through plug-ins “referring” to GTK + library;
Disadvantages
- This application’s main disadvantage lies in its inability to print drawings. Also, interaction with three-dimensional graphics formats requires installing special plug-ins prior to use;
- Connecting plug-ins to create three dimensional graphics “conceptually different” than 3D-OpenGL can lead to unpredictable outcomes, leading to unpredictable results and giving rise to “unforeseen results.
