GreenBrowser (which can also be called Green Observer) was released for public consumption in 2003 and powered by Microsoft Trident (Internet Explorer engine). While remaining compatible, this browser features additional functionality extensions and capacities not found within Internet Explorer itself – its developers continue to actively improve it today.

GreenBrowser is designed for easy use, featuring an intuitive user interface and supporting many visual styles (skins), plugins compatible with Internet Explorer (such as AdBlock Plus and Java Plug-in), built-in filters to block popup windows (including advertising), configurable hotkeys for rapid startup of websites as well as flexible proxy server settings that you can adapt according to personal taste (Internet Explorer also features this capability). Plus it comes equipped with search bar, personal download manager, panel with quick page launches.

GreenBrowser provides four main capabilities, which are:

• Multilingual support (an arsenal of 23 language packs),
• economical computer resource consumption (memory and CPU utilization),
• customizable search bar customization capabilities,
• autosave feature for open pages autosaving automatically and changing themes;
• additionally there’s the capability of downloading additional plugins (via mouse dragging).
• Form autocompletion (data is saved for later use) with integrated browsing is possible from Windows Shell browser,
• including options to enable or disable browsing of web pages as well as multiscreen viewing of open tabs.
